Catholic Education Week 2020 - The Future is Listening

Catholic Education Week is an opportunity for all Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne to celebrate their Catholic identity, the pivotal role they play within their local community and the strength of the sector.

Events during the week include:

  • Mass for Schools in St Patrick's Cathedral to be held on Tuesday 17 March at 10 am
  • Following the Mass, a Concert will be held in the Treasury Gardens for primary students on Tuesday 17 March
  • Young Speakers Colloquium for senior secondary students will be held at the Catholic Leadership Centre also on Tuesday 17 March
  • Creative Arts Exhibition at the Catholic Leadership Centre, will be open from Monday 16 March to Saturday 21 March (presentations are on the evening of Thursday 19 March)
  • Graduate Teachers Celebration will be held at the Catholic Leadership Centre on Wednesday 18 March.

Catholic Education Week will also be celebrated at a local school level with a wide range of events in individual schools that enables students, staff, friends and family to come together to celebrate the spirit of their school community.

Creative Arts Exhibition

The Creative Arts Exhibition showcases the wonderful artwork of primary and secondary students in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. It reflects their creativity in a broad range of impressive and inspiring works across disciplines including painting, photography, sculpture, fashion and film. The exhibition is a powerful tribute to their young lives and gives a brief insight into their world.

The exhibition is open to the public from 9 am – 3.30 pm on Monday 16 March to Friday 20 March and from 12 noon to 4 pm on Saturday 21 March at the Catholic Leadership Centre, 576 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne.
