St. Anthony’s Primary School is a school rich in diversity. We respect and embrace the individual differences and needs of all involved in Religious Education and we welcome the cultural faith dimensions that our families bring to us.
The school is active in its commitment to maintaining its strong link to our Parish. Our Sacramental Program further strengthens our pledge to partnership through an invitation to parents, students, teachers, priests and parishioners to participate in, and commit to the spiritual growth of our young people. The program is parish based and school supported.
Quality education and the pursuit of excellence, as committed to in our Vision Statement, form the basis of our Religious Education Program. At St. Anthony’s, students participate in inquiry-based learning using To Know, Worship and Love as the main resource text. Our Religious Education program provides opportunities for students to learn of God the creator and his love for us, the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, the movement of the Holy Spirit in the early church and in the people of God today and the traditions of the Catholic Church. Students explore issues of social justice and participate in ethical action involving prayer, fundraising and commitment to justice issues throughout the year.
St. Anthony’s offers students experiences of worshipping through personal, class and school prayer; and through the celebration of the Eucharist as a school community.
